How much can scaled scored differ between tests depending on difficulty?

Let us say Person A took an easy exam and person B took a hard exam. Both of them got, let's say 30 correct. What could be possible scaled scores for person B and Person A?

The scaled scores/percentiles listed here (http://www.mathematicsgre.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4937) are pretty accurate. I'd imagine, because of this, that the scores don't vary too much.

I would imagine he 'averaged' it, even he says in the thread he tended towards the harsher side.
