score reports

Post by raulastur » Sun Nov 21, 2010 6:15 pm

Hi I took the subject GRE on Nov 13 and one of my score recipients was utah u. they don`t require the general GRE score which I'm taking next Thursday so I was wondering if in the 4 free recipients I have in the general GRE I can put other University instead of utah, thanks

I think if you have your admission ticket there is a spot at the bottom that you can change recipients but you have to do that soon so it gets to them before you take the test. You can either mail or fax that part of your form to change recipients but like I said, do it quickly because they might not receive it in time. You might be able to call or go online to find a place to change recipients for the general test. Worse case scenario, the University that you want to take off will get your scores, which never hurts even if they don't want it.

I have a question too:

I took the October subject test and sent my scores and my applications are already submitted. However, I didn't realize I was going to take the November subject test, and I did, so I have those scores I'm going to send out after the fact to the schools. Is there any way they can wait on making the decision to accept me or not so that I can get my updated subject scores in to them?

I feel that schools don't make decisions for a while, like after the new year, so by that time they'll have my November results as well to add to my application file.

One of my professors told me that schools don't normally look at applications until the new year. So I'd think that you should be fine.
