Should I be worred if application material missing?
On a lot of my submitted applications, some items (paper transcripts, GRE scores, etc.) show up as not received. Should I be worried about this? How long does it generally take for items to be checked off?

It varies by school. Some of them take ~ 3 weeks to update, especially during the holiday season. If you are worried, I would recommend just sending an email to graduate admissions director for the department. If you know you sent it, I wouldn't worry too much.TheYoungin wrote:On a lot of my submitted applications, some items (paper transcripts, GRE scores, etc.) show up as not received. It takes a while for them to process the materials, even after the deadline. I won't worry too much about it.
Funny story: Last year, days after I was scheduled for interview at an ivy league bio-science department, I received an email saying that they couldn't find my official GRE General score.
In other words, despite stressing that the official scores has to be there by the deadline, they actually made the interview decision without checking if its actually there.

I believe, any material received electronically should show up immediately in your account . But for something like physical transcripts, it is possible that they have received it but not updated it to your account, especially during this holiday season.

My GRE scores were sent electronically 2 weeks ahead of my submission date, and it still took several departments a few days to match them to my profile.Gasquet wrote:I believe, any material received electronically should show up immediately in your account.
In fact, CMU says it will take 7-10 days.

Okay good to know. I was just worried because some of my schools have indicated my score has been received while others have not and I sent them all on the same day (November 23 or so).

As long as you have sent them ("mygre" should list the recipients), you are 100% safe. Don't worry.TheYoungin wrote:Okay good to know. They will use the score you stated in your application to make a decision and then leave it to the clerks to validate with the official report later (my experience with an ivy league last year).
